Summary
The Clinical Resource Nurse (CPRN) supports high quality, patient-centered care by offering feedback, guidance, and mentoring to new graduate nurses and/or nurses that are transitioning to a new specialty. The Resource Nurse supports multiple units. The Resource Nurse provides guidance and education on the hospital’s standard of nursing practice, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with all accrediting and regulatory agency requirements.
What you will do in this role:
- You will lead quality care initiatives, guides clinical performance, and improves patient outcomes and patient safety by using evidenced based practice.
- You will serve as the ICU unit’s primary preceptor for all new staff members and collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to ensure successful onboarding.
- You will have complete oversight of all ICU preceptors and collaborate with ICU leaders to ensure preceptor competency
- You will observe and assesses the quality of patient care being delivered.
- You will identify nursing educational needs.
- You will escalate concerns about nursing skills, patient care, policies, processes, and equipment as appropriate.
- You will ensure that nurses within scope of support have a clear understanding of how to integrate patient experience into nursing practice.
Qualifications
- Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing: Associate’s Degree in Nursing or higher is required
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is preferred and required to be obtained within 6 months of hire/transfer date
- A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider is required
- Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state which you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license
- Minimum of 3 years ICU experience required.
- This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
